This is Oliver, a 12 year old black and white cat who lived at 18 Trevaylor Road, Falmouth.

I say lived because on April 10, in the afternoon, some driver hit him with their car and continued driving. Probably wasn’t paying attention and not being observant.

Oliver had a good road sense, he lived here all his life and didn’t wander from the garden very often, but on this particular day he did.

I know he didn’t die straight away because he made his way to a neighbour and according to the neighbour he passed away in front of her.

In the meantime I was calling and looking for him because it was unusual for him to be away for any length of time.

This person must have been aware that they hit Oliver and my questions to that person are: why didn’t you stop? Why didn’t you knock on doors? Did you see Oliver? Were you driving at speed?

I would like this person to get in to touch to answer these questions because I am tormented by them and I need peace of mind, its the not knowing what happened and how it happened that’s going round and round in my head.

Oliver was and still is a very much loved and cherished cat and I miss him so much and I so wish he was still here with me.

It wasn’t his time to go but someone out there decided it was.

I would like to say a very special thank you to Charley & Cleo who were there with Oliver when he passed, also a very big thank you to Trudy and Les for their help and support Patricia Bradley Trevaylor Road Falmouth
