A group of junior doctors will be putting their time on strike to good use tomorrow by offering paediatric first aid training to parents at the Acorns parent and toddler group in Penryn.
Several parents of the group are doctors who will be taking part in the planned, nationwide strike, and have said they feel very strongly about using the day as constructively and resourcefully as possible.
Although Acorns has said it is "impartial" to the strike, there will be a chance during the session for parents to chat to a team of doctors about the issues surrounding the strike, while parents will also be able to learn first aid for choking, fitting and basic CPR.
The nursery has said the day will be informal with the usual usual crafts, parachute time, and singing.
It said: "We’re just very pleased to be able to be part of this event in a positive way and share some valuable first aid information with those who would like to learn more."
