A series of 'quay' events in Truro in September will bring together music, nostalgia, and a four way darts battle between a 'wolf, dog, shark' and an ordinary man.

A collaboration between South West Bars and Events and Inn Cornwall Ltd, under the name Quay Event, will see the three day programme on the piazza at Lemon Quay.

Everything kicks off on Friday, September 3, with a live world class darts exhibition match as the piazza is transformed into an arena to host stars of the sport Martin 'Wolfie' Adams, Colin ‘Jaws’ Lloyd, Scotty ‘The Dog’ Mitchell, and Keith Deller.

While the champions battle it out, MC Paul Booth will be compering, and the crowd will be entertained with stories from years on the darts scene.

Doors open from 6pm, and standard tickets cost £15, with corporate tables available, for more information contact the Victoria Inn, Threemilestone.

The next day, Saturday, 4 September, will see Choirs on the Quay, with choral singing from 11am to 4pm from Cornish choir Local Vocalz bringing an eclectic range of harmonies to the quay, from gospel to shanties, all for free.

That is followed in the evening by the Back to the Loft evening, celebrating 20 years since the Truro nightclub first opened its doors.

To mark the anniversary, some of the old team has returned to bring a party on the piazza with live music from The Good Old Fashioned Lover Boys, as well as the Loft's resident DJs pumping out classic tunes and some old school promotions, pool tables and a friendly, fun atmosphere that made the club so popular.

What made The Loft so special was the people who worked there and people who came to have a great time, and the organisers are looking forward to seeing some old faces - and some new - back on Lemon Quay.

Doors open from 7pm, and tickets are £5.

Then on Sunday, September 5, the third annual Blues, Brews and Local Foods event will be returning to the piazza.

Quay Event promise a lazy Sunday listening to some great music and enjoying local food and drink, all under one roof. The organisers are bringing an incredible line up with some great blues bands to perform live on Lemon Quay.

There will be live music from 12 noon to 10.30pm, and tickets are £5.
