Children Hospice South West (CHSW) held its Silver Concert at Truro Methodist Church recently when £3,435.70 was raised for the charity.

Cornwall Symphony Chorus performed and were supported by guests the Truro Junior String Orchestra. Mary Murfin, CHSW community fundraiser spoke about the work of CHSW and the special milestone of its 25th anniversary. The evening was compered by Daphne Skinnard from BBC Radio Cornwall.

Mary said: “On behalf of all of the children and families that we support I would like to thank everyone who was part of our very special silver concert. To all of those who performed as well as everyone who attended on the evening, thank you for being part of our slver celebration.”

Money raised from the event will go towards helping support life limited children and their families through CHSW’s Little Harbour hospice in St Austell. Families can visit Little Harbour for short breaks as well as respite, palliative care, emergency stays, end of life care and bereavement support. The focus at the hospice is for families to make special memories together and have fun.
