Pupils and staff at were left "devastated and horrified" after two men scaled the fence at a school in Hayle in broad daylight and stole the wheels off their minibus.

Police say Bodriggy Academy staff and children in Hayle were devastated and horrified when they turned up to school on Monday morning to find that two wheels had been stolen from one of the academy's minibuses.

The minibus is a key to the education for young children and local police need your help to catch these two thieves.

Police say the theft happened on Sunday, January 29 at 1:30pm when two men arrived outside the academy in a white double cabbed transit style pick up van.

One male scaled the gates / fencing of the academy and stole the wheels passing them over to the male on the other side, within just ten minutes they left undetected.

In a crime appeal posted on Facebook, Hayle and St Ives Police appealed for witnesses who may have seen anything.

"A member of public was seen to walk down Humphry Davy Lane and could have seen the offence taking place, also a gold coloured car drove up the hill past the school at the same time and may have witnessed the offence.
