Helston’s popular theme park has revealed that there will no longer be separate entry into its indoor soft play centre during its 2023 season.

Last week, the Packet reported that Flambards is renaming its soft play area from One2Eleven to Ferdi’s Indoor Play.

It is also making entry to the soft play centre included as part of standard admission into the main park.

However, Flambards has now confirmed to the Packet that as a result of this, there will be no separate entry to the indoor play for anyone not wishing to purchase a full theme park ticket during its open season.

Separate admission will only be allowed outside of the main park season - and only on certain days.

The Flambards 2023 season will start during the Easter holidays and finish at the end of October.

During this time, Ferdi's Indoor Play will be open during Ride and Exhibition (Pink) days, but closed on Indoor Exhibition days when the rides are not in use.

However, Flambards said the plan was for it to still be possible to visit the indoor play centre over the winter, when the main park is closed, but no admission price information for that has been announced as of yet.

Other changes include a reduction on the age limit for children using the centre, meaning the soft play will now only be for children aged eight and under.

It follows a new link up between the park and the newly renamed soft play centre.

General manager of Flambards, Richard Welby, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that Ferdi’s Indoor Play will be a part of Flambards’ fantastic variety of family activities for 2023.

“Everyone loves Ferdi the Fox, who has been Flambards friendly, fluffy mascot for many years, so it was only right to name the indoor play centre after him.”

The indoor soft play attraction contains air-bursting ball swamps, cannon shooters, slides, tunnels, swings and even a climbing wall.

Younger children can enjoy activities such as a stroll down to the play shops which include Mr Fix-It Auto Shop, shopping at Tesbury’s supermarket and the pet shop.

Flambards has also announced that included in the standard admission there will be no fewer than ten Fireworks Spectacular dates for 2023 – the highest number it has staged – in order "promise a summer season of family fun which will be bigger and better than ever."
