Redruth will be celebrating St Piran’s Festival in traditional style this year with a full programme of events and performances on Saturday, March 4.

The St Piran’s Festival Parade returns for the first time in three years and will be led up Fore Street by the Redruth Town Band and even St Piran himself.

Elsewhere, the town will be packed with things to do, see and taste as the biggest post-pandemic Town Market will be full of traders selling goods such as sweet treats, crafts, jewellery, art and food & drink. Local producers such as The Bearded Farmers, South Coast Fisheries and Keltec Brewery will also be attending, offering a real taste of Redruth.

Cllr Matthew Brown, Town Mayor said: “St Piran’s Day is such a special day in Redruth and although we’ve enjoyed ourselves over the last few years, it hasn’t quite been the same without the parade. So I’m really excited that we’ve been able to bring it back again this year and I can’t wait to be part of it.”

The town will also be packed with music throughout the day including performances by the Redruth Festival Band, The Red River Singers, Bagas Crowd and Raise the Ruth. The Trelawny Shout will be sung at The Miner at around 11.30am and all are welcome to join in.
