Sadly, the sun didn't make an appearance in Cornwall this weekend - however, this didn't prevent hundreds of people from turning out to celebrate St Piran's Day events in Truro and Perranporth.
Celebrations kicked off on Saturday with its annual tradition of the St Piran's parade through the city which culminated in speeches on High Cross. This year, the parade was joined by Ambassador Josefa González-Blanco, Mexican Ambassador to the United Kingdom.
Other events taking place throughout the day included a themed window competition, the Truro Farmers Market’s Pasty Making Competition, and creative workshops. There was also music, stalls and street entertainment for the public to enjoy.
Over in Perranporth on Sunday, St Piran's Day itself, celebrations continued with the annual tradition of a procession at Perran Sands.
Hundreds of people joined in the procession which saw them carrying daffodils and black and white flags whilst making their way to the oratory.
