Cornwall Air Ambulance won big not once but twice at a major national awards.

The charity managed to scoop up both the 'Campaign of the Year' and the 'Charity Team of the Year' categories at the Air Ambulances UK 2023 Awards of Excellence.

The double win underlines the crucial role the organisation plays within the air ambulance community, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to providing specialised lifesaving skills.

The 'Campaign of the Year' accolade was awarded for their 2022 Christmas animation 'Help Holly.'

A powerful storyline that illustrated how the quick response of the critical care crew can offer life-altering assistance.

Its other award came from their finance and business intelligence team's work in bringing together data sources to generate essential insights into mission stats, fundraising campaigns, and more.

The organisation’s captain Richard Dixon was also recognised for his growth towards the 'Pilot of the Year' category, emphasising his incredible devotion to the role and his willingness to help, even during his time off.

Tim Bunting, chief executive at Cornwall Air Ambulance, said: "To be shortlisted in three categories and to come away with two award wins is simply fantastic.

The Cornwall Air Ambulance, which handles around 1,000 emergency calls each year, relies solely on public donations, as it receives no direct government funding.
