A luxury flapjack brand Flapjackery to open its first shop in Falmouth this week, and they're offering the first 100 customers a free box with their first purchase.

Flapjackery, known for its delicious gluten-free flapjacks, says it is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its latest location at 161 Church Street on Friday, April 5.

To celebrate the occasion, the first 100 customers in line will receive a special offer: they can purchase any box of flapjacks and receive a box for free. Additionally, they will have the chance to enter a draw for a year's supply of flapjacks.

A sea shanty band will be on hand to provide lively entertainment as the doors open. The new shop, located in the heart of Falmouth, is the third Flapjackery location in Cornwall, with previous stores opening in St Ives and Fowey in 2022 and 2023 respectively.

In the spirit of giving back to the community, Flapjackery will donate 50p or £1.50 for every Falmouth-specific box of three or six flapjacks sold, as well as 20p for every customer who chooses to forgo a recyclable box. Falmouth RNLI station will be the beneficiary of these charitable donations.

Based at Tavistock in West Devon, Flapjackery has gained a reputation for its exceptional flapjacks, which come in a variety of flavors such as Cherry Bakewell, Clotted Cream Fudge Flapjack, Cream Tea Flapjack (Cornish style), and Salted Caramel Brownie. Made with the finest British oats and toppings sourced from the West Country, these flapjacks have become a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

Flapjackery was founded in 2015 by Carol and Sally Jenkin, who met at a farmers' market in Tavistock, Devon. They quickly realised that their flapjacks were a hit and decided to start their own business.

Today, Flapjackery has grown to include an online shop, ten retail outlets, and trade stands at shows and events across the UK. The Falmouth shop will be managed by Mark Chegwin.

In the last two years, Flapjackery has won 21 Taste of the West Gold awards, including all eight of its shops receiving the top award in 2023 (Flapjackery now has 11 shops including Falmouth); and eight gold awards in 2024 for its products.

The winners this year included ‘Orange Tiffin’, ‘Ginger Tiffin’, ‘Cappuccino Shards’, ‘Clotted Cream Flapjack’, ‘Salted Caramel Flapjack’, and ‘Millionaires’ and ‘Traditional Flapjacks’.
