WENDRON Cricket Club A started their campaign to regain the Division One title of the West Cornwall Winter Pool League with a 9-0 whitewash against the Rodney Inn B team last week.

Helston FC A had a good 7-2 victory in a late night affair at Mullion FC A and singles wins from Nigel Cowls, Malcolm Fox, Dave Fox, Fabian Johns and Andy Bright helped Godolphin Club F to an 8-1 win over the Boathouse.

Helston RBL A got their first win of the campaign with a 6-3 win over Helston RFC A.

In Division Two the Angel Hotel B team recovered from a 4-2 deficit to win 5-4 against Helston RBL D and Paris A won the last two doubles games to defeat the Bell Inn by the same score.

Wins from Scott Harris, Glyn Furnival, Callum Martin and Craig Burley helped Wendron CC B to a 7-2 win over the Bell Inn while Helston RBL B edged out Helston RFC B 5-4.

The Five Pilchards moved to the top of Division Three with an 8-1 win over Black Swan A and this score was equalled by Helston FC B who defeated the Mounts Bay thanks to singles wins from Johnny Cole, Darren Robertson, Mark Mullen, Stu Thomas and Charlie Conway.

Breage SC were 4-2 down to Godolphin Club A but they won all three doubles to win 5-4.

Paris B had the best result of the week in Division Four with a 7-2 victory over Out of the Blue A but last week's leaders, Three Tuns, had to fight hard for their victory as they trailed the Wheel Inn 3-1 and 4-3 only to win the last two doubles and edge a 5-4 win.

Josh Penrose, Dan Jeffers and Rich Trewern all won for the Queens Arms in their 5-4 win against theCowshed Bar and Red Lion A won 5-4 against Atlantic Inn B.
