After this Penryn upped their game; the forwards worked hard to maintain procession and after a series of driving pick and goes from the base of the ruck experienced Penryn lady Zeta Bailey scored by posts. With scores equal Penryn ladies were back in the game and soon after this Penryn ladies were attacking from their own half. After a series of quick hands and lines ran from deep new Penryn player Anna Streisand paced past their defensive line and scored a try under the posts. Frankie Rikard added the conversion.

Due to the worsening rainy conditions the ball was kept tight with the forwards on both teams. After a series of driving mauls Newton Abbott broke the Penryn defence to score a try equalling the 12 points Penryn had scored in the first half.
