At a hearing in front of the Cornwall Football Association, Helston Athletic Football Club admitted to breaching FA Rule E20 that on the 1st March 2016 at a Senior Cup Semi-Final match against Bodmin Town, supporters of Helston Athletic Football Club failed to conduct themselves in an orderly fashion.

After taking into account the immediate action that the club took against the most serious offender, and also the steps that they have introduced to minimise such incidents in the future, the Cornwall FA levied a fine of £150 against the club, £100 of which has been suspended for twelve months. Should Helston Athletic be found guilty of a similar offence within those 12 months then the £100 shall be activated and added to any subsequent punishment.

Chairman Paul Hendy said, "The activities of a minority of supporters on the March 1 was not representative of what has otherwise been a fantastic season for Helston Athletic Football Club.

"The club remains committed to the highest standards of behaviour and respect both on and off the field of play. We look forward to taking an active role in the recently formed Cornwall FA working party, who have been tasked at looking at the wider issue of "Respect" at all levels of football in Cornwall."
