PORTHLEVEN Football Club are looking for new managers to take charge of both their first and second teams.

Charlie Young, who took over from Phil Kellow earlier this season, has stood down as player-manager but will continue to be player-coach of the first team.

Club secretary Vidal James explained that Young found the dual role difficult but wants to remain at the club.

The second team, who are enduring a torrid season in the Combination League, having won just two of their 36 matches, are also looking for a new manager.

Anyone interested in either role can contact Vidal in the first instance on 01209 313768.

Wendron United boss Charlie Davis has confirmed that he will continue at Underlane next season.

He guided his side to a very respectable ninth-place finish in their first ever season in Division 1 West of the SWPL.

He said: "We're really happy with our season, I think we've surpassed many people's expectations.

"The players have given a good account of themselves and it has been a much more enjoyable season (than last year) because we're challenging ourselves.

"We have a small squad that has been affected by injuries in the last few weeks but I'll be aiming to keep them together and perhaps add a couple of players to give us more strength in depth next season."
