Falmouth Town will host St Blazey on Wednesday (7.30pm) in one of the longest-standing fixtures in the South-Western League.

Town have met their mid-Cornwall opponents more times than any other club, after their first ever meeting took place in May 1951 - a game which St Blazey won 4-3 at Union Corner in a Festival Of Britain match.

Since then, they have contested 162 competitive matches, with Falmouth winning 77 of them.

Town midfielder Ross Pope has moved up to seventh in the all time list of appearances for the first team, having played 363 times.

Among those above him are Tommy Matthews (480), who played from 1978 to 1994, and Justin Ashburn (424), who wore the number 9 shirt from 1988 to 2004.

Josh Sims and Danny O'Hagan are among former Town players who will be on show for St Blazey on Wednesday evening.
